Adam and I have been married since 2006. We have two wonderful girls and two sweet boys! We have been on a journey for health and wellness since the beginning. We have been totally vegan for almost six years and have been experimenting with vegetarianism and meat eating off and on since we got together. We find that our moods and our health is the best when eating a totally plant based diet. Our children are intelligent and well-behaved which I believe is in part their whole food diet and also partly that Adam and I both have a background in child development.
We love food! We love creating new recipes and trying new things. I believe that cooking is an art and Adam is a master at this art form. I am certainly an apprentice but I am learning so many things and I really enjoy being in the kitchen and experimenting.
The difference between mine and Adam’s cooking technique is that he follows his heart and his nose when cooking; I follow recipes, or I look at recipes to get an idea of what I want to do and then I do my own thing, which more often than not is pretty good at best. So many times I have had to have Adam come and just even stir my food to give it the spirit he has for cooking and it turns out great.
One day we hope to use our cooking skills and knowledge about health and wellness to care for people who may not know where to begin when taking care of themselves.
